AppDoc Terms & Conditions

Welcome to AppDoc! These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of the AppDoc platform ("Service"). Please read this Agreement carefully before using our website, app, or any services provided by AppDoc. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.

1. General Terms

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use the AppDoc platform. If you are under 18, you must have consent from a legal guardian.
  • Acceptance of Terms: By registering and using the AppDoc service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy.
  • Account Registration: You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account.
  • Access & Use: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Unauthorized use of your account should be immediately reported to us.

2. Terms for Patients

Appointment Scheduling

  • Booking: Patients can schedule appointments with healthcare providers (doctors) through the AppDoc platform.
  • Availability: Doctors and healthcare providers are responsible for maintaining their availability in the system. AppDoc is not responsible for unavailable slots or missed appointments.
  • Appointment Cancellation/Rescheduling: Patients must cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may incur a cancellation fee (as per doctor’s policy).

Fees and Payments

  • Charges: Patients may be required to make payments for appointments, consultations, or other services offered by doctors through the platform. Payment details are handled via the payment gateway integrated with AppDoc.
  • Refunds: All refunds are subject to the doctor’s cancellation policies. AppDoc is not responsible for processing any refund requests.

Telemedicine/Consultations

  • Telemedicine: If you are using AppDoc for telemedicine services, you agree to follow appropriate conduct during video consultations.
  • Medical Advice: The information provided via teleconsultation is intended for informational purposes only and does not substitute in-person visits to a licensed healthcare professional.
  • Privacy: AppDoc ensures that all personal and health data is handled in compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA/GDPR). However, we advise you to use caution and verify all doctor credentials and healthcare services.

3. Terms for Doctors and Healthcare Providers

Account & Profile Setup

  • Doctor Profile: Doctors must create a verified profile containing their qualifications, specialties, and availability. AppDoc has the right to review and approve profiles to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
  • Licensure: By listing their services on AppDoc, healthcare providers confirm they hold valid licenses, certifications, and meet the necessary regulatory standards in their practice region.

Appointments and Scheduling

  • Availability: Doctors are responsible for maintaining accurate availability and calendar schedules on the platform.
  • Consultation Fees: Doctors set their own consultation fees and may update them on the platform. Payments will be processed through the AppDoc platform, and doctors will receive payment in accordance with AppDoc's payment terms.
  • Cancellation & No-Show Policy: Doctors can set their cancellation and no-show policies for patients. These policies should be clearly communicated to patients through their profiles.

Teleconsultations

  • Conduct: During video consultations, doctors must provide accurate medical advice and follow ethical standards.
  • Record Keeping: Doctors are responsible for maintaining records of all consultations and patient interactions. AppDoc does not store medical records but may offer storage features for patient notes and consultations at the doctor’s discretion.

4. User Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information: Both patients and doctors agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information.
  • Conduct: All users must conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner. Any inappropriate or abusive behavior may result in immediate suspension or termination of the user’s account.
  • Prohibited Actions: You may not use AppDoc for illegal activities, fraud, or any other purpose that violates applicable laws.

5. Limitation of Liability

  • Service Availability: AppDoc makes no guarantees regarding the availability or quality of healthcare services provided through the platform. AppDoc is not responsible for any adverse medical outcomes or errors in treatment.
  • Platform Liability: AppDoc is not responsible for the actions, conduct, or medical malpractice of doctors or healthcare providers. We act as an intermediary platform for appointment booking and scheduling.
  • Third-Party Links: AppDoc may provide links to third-party websites, but we are not responsible for their content or services.

6. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Personal Information: AppDoc collects and processes personal data according to our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Confidentiality: We are committed to keeping your personal and medical information confidential in compliance with applicable privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

7. Termination

  • Suspension or Termination of Accounts: AppDoc reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at its discretion if there is a violation of these Terms & Conditions, including abuse, fraud, or illegal activities.
  • User Termination: Users can terminate their accounts at any time by contacting AppDoc support.

8. Dispute Resolution

  • Governing Law: These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where AppDoc operates.
  • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from the use of the AppDoc platform shall be resolved through arbitration or mediation, as specified by AppDoc.

9. Updates to Terms

  • Amendments: AppDoc reserves the right to modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Users will be notified of any significant changes via email or in-app notifications.
